About Kanwar Wildlife Sanctuary    

The Kanwar Sanctuary in Himachal Pradesh promises an exciting experience for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers and trekkers. The uphill walk along the Garahan Nala from Kasol through dense Deodar and Fir forests is worth all the trouble.

The Sancturay is located in the Parbati Valley is the home of the Himalayan Tahr. Spotting this big Himalayan goat in the wilderness can be a treat for your eyes. Air: the nearest airport is at Bhuntar, 10 km from Kullu.

Rail: Jogindernagar is the nearest railhead. It is 95 km from Kullu.

Road: the sanctuary like most places in Himachal is well connected by road. Shimla is 240 km from Kanwar.
